The MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 lens adapter brings numerous AF advantages from Sony E-Mount cameras to Pentax KAF lenses. These include hundreds of AF points across the entire field of view, focusing on the human or animal eye, AF tracking and AE in real time in continuous shooting mode, etc.

Note: Due to the limitations of the old screw-drive AF lenses, such as AF noise and power consumption, the LA-KE1 is designed for still image shooting only and most functions are not available in video mode.
Design
Fully equipped K-Mount
With K-Mount communication contacts, power contacts and AF switch, the LA-KE1 adapter is compatible with K-Mount lenses from KAF to KAF4 and maximizes lens compatibility.
Two built-in motors
The MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 has both a built-in aperture motor and a screw-drive AF motor, so that K-Mount lenses on mirrorless cameras have autofocus and automatic exposure. The LA-KE1 lens adapter can automatically recognize and control the conventional mechanical iris and the electromagnetic iris of KAF4 lenses as well as conventional screw-drive lenses and SDM/DC/PLM motor lenses.
No cropping of the bokeh
The interior of the adapter is optimally utilized so that the bokeh is not cut off when using lenses with a large aperture.

Integrated metal casting process
The main housing of the MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 is manufactured using an integral metal die-casting process to ensure the durability of the adapter.
Unique focus mode selector switch
Lenses such as the smc DA* Pentax 200mm f2.8 SDM have both an SDM motor and a screw-drive focusing mechanism. If the SDM motor fails, this switch can be used to select the AF mode. Position 1 is Screw-Drive, position 2 is SDM.
Note: This switch is only valid for lenses with two drives.
When using the MonsterAdapter LA-KE1 lens adapter, autofocus is only supported in photo mode. Sony prevents the use of autofocus in video mode when using a lens adapter.
